I have just begun my study this week.
I am studying a Bachelor of Education. It is alot to take in withing the first week.
Sometimes when you get an assessment piece you have no idea where to start.
Well good research is the key. If you read up and talk to people about your subject then you will develop your own ideas and opinions about the subject.
This is ultimately what the lecturers want. Is for you to develop your own opinions and debate over the subject.
Within the first week of study you should find out the dates of when all your assessment is due and plan when you will work on each piece. Group assessment is harder as you will need to allow for the other people in your group to put forth their ideas and when they can work on the piece.
Every lecture you should revise what you have just been taught and also your reflections on the lecture. Then you should plan for the next lecture. This is the same for each of your tutes as well.
A big tip for studying is to be orgainised all the time. If you are not orgainised you can loose yourself in the workload very quickly.
I find it hard to study, work and look after my house. My boyfriend does his fair share but he does work hard all day and does not want to come home and clean or cook.
Therefore most days I have the additional task of cleaning, cooking and feeding our pets.
This is why I found it easier if I am always orgainised and planned. However life being as unpredictable as it is, sometimes being planned and orgainised is a waste of time. Some days go completely different to what I have planned. Nothing goes to plan.
But being orgainised can most often help you through this unpredictable life.
Hope I helped in some way.
